Imaging with SEM – scanning electron microscopy
As an imaging analysis technique, SEM helps our customers develop battery cells and more. It serves to determine the structure of particles and their positions relative to each other.
In addition, scanning electron microscopy can be used as follows:
- SEM images as imaging analysis, e.g. for sectional imaging of anodes and cathodes in battery cells, crystallographic orientation contrast
- EDX: point analysis, hyper mapping, line scan, particle analysis
- Analysis accompanying production and research
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis, e.g. for complaints: depiction of cracks or contamination in various layers
